Another piano album

It's been already a year since I published this second piano album from my project FlauschGAU on Jamendo, but since I forgot to write about it on this forgotten and forsaken blog, I do now. Enjoy!

FlauschGAU Album published!

Hey Folks!
My instrumental project named FlauschGAU flourished so well it brought 14 tracks to life so far. For me, it was just a logical step to compile those tracks to an album some day, and I just decided this day is today. So from now on, you can listen to FlauschGAUs first album Flauschsplosion on Jamendo: http://www.jamendo.com/de/album/107978

All the recordings were done on my KORG Stage Piano, with the built-in voices. Not even MIDI magic, just a simple stereo sound grab :-) I used my Alesis iO2 Express USB Audio Interface and the free Audacity recording software.
You may notice that this album is all German concerning the titles, but if you want it all in English, simply go to the Soundcloud project site linked above :-)

Player Stuff

I'm so sorry again my visitors, there is an error in the linking of the music files. In posts, neither the players nor the download links will work.
But you can easily go to the Music Player section above. The player and the files listed there are correctly working :-)
I'm going to fix that in a while....

UPDATE:
The players are working again! *__*

Piano stuff

Hey folks,
it's been a while, a long while, to be honest.  In the meantime, I managed to get a (digital) piano in my house, and I've already recorded some stuff on it! Check it out on SoundCloud:
http://soundcloud.com/FlauschGAU

Alternatively, just listen to it in the widget below (which I'll put in the Music Player section, too).

Some technical change

Just to let you guys know, I migrated the mp3 files from Google Docs to an easier-to-use free space at HostingSociety. This makes it a lot easier to upload and link the files, as well as it solves some problems older browsers had with the file linking.
As said before, I am working on new stuff :)

"Rivers flow in You" (Yiruma Cover) - Rediscovering old stuff

Hey everybody,
I just rediscovered an old recording I made for  christmas. It's a multitrack-cover of "River flows in You", a piano instrumental by South Korean composer and piano player Yiruma. It is most known from being played as "Bella's lullaby" in the one of the Twilight movies (a friend told me, I didn't see it).
For those of you who don't know multitrack technique, it's simply recording different tracks (in this case bass, rhythm/chords, melody and percussion) with one man and put them together later.
I named this "Rivers flow in You", out of a spontaneous mood, to distinguish the style from the original. Nevertheless, this is still a tribute to the original!
As always, I hope you enjoy it! I really love this wonderful piece and its dreaming atmosphere... :-)

Beware that as this song/theme is not my own work but only this recording is, this one is not under the usual CreativeCommons-license but only published under conditions of fair use. No copyright infringement is intended!
However, don't use this with commercial intentions unless you own the rights to.

Winter Fog

...is what kind of made my day today. Do you know that feeling? Working in a far too warm room, and finally when you're done walking outside and discover that summer is over and a bit of fog is in the air which is surprisingly clear and cold... I tried to catch that situation within an idea, and this is what I played:

Phrasing technique

...is what I wanted to practise by playing this piece. If you didn't sleep in music when you were in school, judge by yourself.

Experiments

The impro I bring to you today is subtitled Experimental, which refers to its nature concerning rhythm and playing technique. For example, there is a part where I (try to) play in 5/4 time, and another where I kind of paint a whole soundscape (at least that's what it sounds like to me). But - listen yourself and decide whether you like it or not (and tell me by rating)!
